Sandy Dillon studied Orchestral Composition at Berklee College of Music. Upon graduating she moved to New York where she began living in the infamous Chelsea Hotel. Whilst playing Janis Joplin in the Broadway production 'Rock N Roll: The First 5,000 Years', she was spotted by manager Tony DeFries and went on to record two unreleased albums for the Elektra label
