Celebrated industrial designer Max Bill was an original Bauhaus proteg, having studied there in the 1930s. He began designing wall clocks for German watchmaker Junghans in 1957 designs that were so fetching in their minimalism and utility, that they easily made the transfer to wristwatches just a few years later.
