I felt it would work well on a more complex background and I’d recently been experimenting with flicking paint onto the canvas using an old toothbrush which gave a matt stone-like effect

These stamps were all taken from letters I have received over time from people that I care about, so this is a significant and emotional piece for me, far removed from the more organic or geometric abstracts that
