Sakurao Japanese Single Malt Whisky 700ml Geelong Fruit was fermented on skinsThis is one of the first whiskies from Sakurao Distillery (formerly Chugoku Jozo) to be distilled in Japan. Previously, they've been producing Togouchi whisky aged in a railway tunnel in the Hiroshima mountains, but using sourced whiskies from overseas. Sakurao, on the other hand is 100% Japanese, aged in Sakurao in four different cask types (ex Bourbon, ex Sherry, American Oak & Mizunara). There's reportedly a bit of peat to this youngster. 43% Alc.
