Ballet de Russe Monte Carlo railway Grimwood was praised by PrintA rare original pre war poster for a performance of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, 1938. The company had originally been part of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo (with a plural name) formed in 1932 after the demise of Ballets Russes. The new company was created in 1936 and adopted the title shown here in 1938 when Lonide Massine became artistic director. A higher resolution image is available on request.
