Blue Nude Encaustic Anniversaries and special occasionsEncaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is an ancient and richly tactile art form that originated in Ancient Greece over two thousand years ago. This technique involves fusing molten layers of clear or pigmented beeswax onto a rigid and absorbent surface. Each layer is carefully applied and then fused to bond it with the one beneath, creating a luminous, durable finish. This painting explores the expressive potential of the human form
