Opera Lamb art_editions and slicingOpera Lamb depicts one of Monaghan's fantastical characters, in this case, from his film Rainbow Narcosis. Like one of Durer's watercolors, the print is a kind of animal study from another world. Decapitated to reveal a baroque opera interior, and adorned with a regal crown, Monaghan's mythological lamb suggests the peril of decadence. This print was created on the occasion of State of the Art at The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
