He lived on the streets for a few years

but I think it really adds to the composition of the drawing

all of the dancers leap together

but with a 1" border on all sides

the dancers lift their arms and roll their bodies and it looks like they're going to take off into the air

I really think it captures the energy of the dance, and the strength of the dancers. As part of my practice, I take a lot of photographs that become either inspiration or models for my work. This photo is one I took as part of my Dancewave : It takes a Village project. All proceeds from sales go to support dance scholarships. Each photo is printed matte on Hahnemuhle Fine Art
