50’s Red Wool Chimayo Poncho Style Jacket with Fringe Trim Cottage core Waist: 26–28”A striking Chimayo poncho style jacket made in the 50s by Ortegas of Chimayo, New Mexico. Hand woven, 100% wool in primary red, with Chimayo motifs (two on front and one larger one on back) in bright turquoise, light grey, black and white. Jacket collar and black braided leather buttons down c f. Buttons also fasten sides and create sleeves in the poncho style construction. Large patch pockets on lower front. Yarn fringe trim on front and back edges.
